Easier interface for selecting posts for the Curious reader digest

I appreciate that Packback has an option that select posts for the Curious Reader Digest automatically from the featured posts. But in practice, this leads me to doing more work than I should be. I might feature 6 things, for example, but the AI chooses a sub-set of those for the curious reader digest—and not the ones I would pick. Or, as in today’s case, I feel like the AI suggested ones are rarely helpful. My suggestion is to make it easier for faculty to simply check mark posts that they want in the curious reader’s digest, because at the moment, if we feature too many, we won’t know which ones will be in the email, and if we feature too few, then the AI apparently at least sometimes kicks in and includes what we don’t necessarily want to include. It would be so much simpler if we could simply pick which ones, and if we don’t pick them by a certain date, that a simple algo picks a recent featured post that hasn’t yet been highlighted in the digest.
