Rework the Learner Leaderboard to make it motivating for all students
I like the sense of competition with the leaderboard, but it makes some students (like the international students) feel bad when they are at the bottom. Plus, some students ask an excessive amount of questions just to increase their score, not for learning. It would be beneficial to either hide total points from students OR only show the top 10 students, for example.

Jessica Tenuta AdminGreat suggestion. The question of how to make our learner leaderboard motivating for all students throughout the whole term has been top of mind for us.
Here is one suggestion we are considering: https://packback.featureupvote.com/suggestions/64848/update-the-learner-leaderboard-to-reset-rankings-weekly-by-default -

Marina Ackerman MergedNot sure if this goes for everybody, but the Learner Leaderboard has seemed to be very motivating for me in writing more in-depth, complete, and detailed questions/responses. What I've found though is that it is determined strictly by points rather than the average of scores throughout your responses. I suggest that we make the Leaderboard based off of averages, rather than total score, to make it fair for all- not just those who unnecessarily go above and beyond

Lisa ParrottI love the idea of more creative and possibly inclusive leader board options (like the most improved curiosity score week over week and average response score, etc)
