Allow responses to supporting and counter points

I would like to be able to respond to responses, and for students to do the same. That way, a back-and-forth conversation can emerge more easily, rather than disconnected responses that don't allow for as much direct engagement.

Dr. Steve Chordas adds: "By putting the counter/supporting point to the post back into the parent post would lose the content of the post they are replying to? I asked the students to reply to my post then to a colleagues - but they can’t complete the second part of my assignment with this design. Sorry not happy with this." "If you can't respond to a supporting or counter point - that is the opposite of a ":discussion" board ? There is no discussion then ? This should be changed. Thanks :)"
